Service is an active response to our faith; a faith inspired by the examples of Jesus feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick, and inviting the outcast into friendship.
In giving ourselves, we are able to grow closer to God and to God's beloved creation. We have an incredible opportunity to grow our service here at Rowan this year. In the past we have participated in a Relay for Life as a group. We have also participated in Pope Francis Share the Journey Campaign by going on a pilgrimage to the Texas-Mexico border to volunteer at a Catholic Charities Welcome Center. We are planning another pilgrimage in the near future. CCM also attends the March For Life in Washington D.C. every year. This year we are planning on coordinating service projects with local food banks as well as other organizations on campus. Catholic Campus Ministry will gladly coordinate service opportunities within our community in South Jersey as well as service within our larger world community. Please contact our Campus Minister Rebekah Hardy at rhardy@stbridgetup.org with any questions or suggestions |
